Pool tables have been popular in
pubs since the 1970’s, with around 70,000 pubs today having
tables.
The standard version of the game played in the UK is 8 ball
pool, played on either a 6ft or 7ft table. Tables today differ
greatly
from the early ones, and can be supplied in many different varieties.
Traditional wooden tables are still the most popular, however aluminium
finished tables are also popular in some modern venues.
Pool tables
can be very profitable, and locating your pool table correctly
within your venue is crucial to achieve maximum takings.
The price of play is also important and usually varies from around
50 pence to £1.50.
Most licensees opt for rental rather
than shared terms. The range of rentals is usually between £15
and £30 per week. All
tables are supplied as a complete package with balls, cues, cue
rack and other accessories. Our BDM’s can help maximise
the takings of your table and offer special packs for pool competitions.
As with all our machines, the service we provide to pool tables
is second to none, ensuring your table is always in tip-top condition.
Pool
tables generate a great deal of cash through their own take and
through sales over the bar.
