Similar in appearance to regular
AWP’s, Club Machines differ in that they pay out substantially
higher jackpots, and usually use a 4 reel format as opposed to
the 3 reels seen on AWP’s.
Club machines can only be situated
in licensed club premises and, and can pay out jackpots of up
to £250.
Jackpot machines take more money per customer than
regular AWP’s,
simply because the higher jackpot makes them attractive to a
more dedicated type of player. People tend to play club machines
for
longer and so put more money into them. Club machines are often
a central
attraction of a club, rather than just an incidental one.
A wide
variety of machines and models are available, with various prices
of play and jackpot levels. Machines accept all coins
and can be fitted with note acceptors, which are popular with
keen
players.
As with AWP’s, the law only allows club machines
to be rented. The rental rates vary between around £20
- £50 per week,
depending on the machine you choose.
